grill not working/oven door missing?

i'm playing career mode in the modern kitchen and my grill has just stopped working completely; i can turn it "on" but the knob doesn't move and nothing I put on it will cook. restarting the game, the whole pc, or moving to a new day do not fix the issue, nor does leaving it "on" until it breaks and then calling a repair.

similarly, one of my ovens is missing its door. this one isn't as big of an issue because i can still use it (it actually makes things a bit faster since i don't have to open/close the door when taking stuff out or putting stuff in lol) and same thing, doesn't seem to be affected by repairs, new days, or restarts.

Could you play a little with the oven bug, try to turn it on a few times and send us an output log? Also, if you have a savefile that would be great!

Where is the game save file?
In one of those locations:
1. Documents/Wastelands-Interactive/CookingSimulator
2. %appdata%/LocalLow/Wastelands-Interactive/CookingSimulator
3.(Game Installation Folder)/Save/Wastelands-Interactive/CookingSimulator

Where is the output log?
1. When you experience a bug, either close or ALT+TAB the game, just make sure you don't restart the game as this will overwrite the output log (unless you are aiming to reproduce the bug/crash)
2. Paste this path into your files explorator: %appData%/../LocalLow/Wastelands Interactive/CookingSimulator/
3. There you should find output_log.txt

The exact same just happened to me. The Grill broke, i called the repair guys (best one) and after they were done its not broken anymore, but doesnt turn on neither. It shows on/off but doesnt add that "grill fog" and doesnt grill anything.

Same issue here, kind of breaking my career game, as the grill is simply unavailable. This causes me to fail some recipes badly, killing my fame.

just bought the game and came across this big too, shame to see a post going on 4 month old and the bug still exists, probs going to have to start a new campagin because of it and i just manged to get to 3 stars 14 days in :(

same, I think they actually fixed this because my grill works now. they even fixed the oven doors :)

I’m having the same issue. All repaired but when I look at the knob to turn the grill on it has a red hand with a cross through.

I just had this happen in my game. I saved and reloaded and it was back to working as normal.

Mine just started doing this a few days ago (breaking down all day long). Stove, modern kitchen, sandbox. It's needs repairing though I'm not using it. It even gets to sparking. I have to keep repairing it but can't use it, last I checked the knob gave me a red x even after it was repaired.

It's stuck needing a repair all the time.

EDIT: I just left the game. I gave up. The grill in modern kitchen sandbox is still going nuts non-stop and breaking down. Then it stops working. I may get lucky to get one use per load of game... maybe. IT is repeatable. I'm also having crashing in cakes & cookies so I need to take a break from this game all together. I'm rage quitting lately. That's no fun.. This game is so wonderful.. Just so dog gone buggy! The skewers skewed up my burger patties. Now they're v shaped :( I just can't take it any more. 200 hours.. aside from testing and struggling, the time was mostly enjoyable, off and on.

Hope the best for those who are sticking it out. I keep getting my hopes up. I'm tired.

I know this thread is old but my grill glitch is a bit different lol. I repair my grill and then proceed to ignore it entirely. I don't use it but the next day it's broken and sparking again. Ive been using different repairing services to fix it ranging from the most expensive to the cheapest and it still just breaks without use within the next business day. I'll just watch the grill, turned off and begin to see bad scorch makers on it over time. Yes the grill has remained off.
