Just my 2 cents, please watch trailers & gameplay videos and make your own mind up about it. The game itself (except controls) is amazing and great fun and will keep you busy for a while unlocking recipes, leveling up etc. <- IF you are into that kind of stuff in games!

I am finding it very frustrating to play it with keyboard and mouse (that's the only control option I can comment on since that is the only one I have). The best example here is using tools like spatula or tongs is very much impossible as the meat or whatever else you are picking up is not acting within the law of physics and you can never predict where your object you are moving will land.

That being said it might be different with controller or whatever but I simply do not have patience to buy something to try and make this work for me. Thus I have returned the game and requested a refund.

I can understand that it must be hard for the devs to make this somehow work (in terms of controls) but it is simply not good enough and a game breaker for me.

I bought the game yesterday and I'm now at Level 19 in career mode. Great game and great value for money! More than enough dishes to get you started for sure.

Apart from the controls this game is pretty solid

Just try it out on your own. You can always get the refund if you don't enjoy it.

Have fun,

Quite honestly, I haven't had any trouble with the spatula... been flawless for me each and every time. Though, my biggest hangup is the pouring of liquids from the pots into the bowls and trying to get near the 300ml mark. If I can get it to at least 290-ish I call it good enough. Because usually I end up with 350+ or an overfull bowl. That's if I don't accidentally pour the entire pot onto the counter top trying to get aim on the bowl.

But, none the less... I am enjoying the game. Very fun, playing through the career mode now. Was playing Sandbox game yesterday up until I "accidentally" blew up the kitchen. LOL

PS.

Oh, and if ye do pour the pot onto the counter... you can't wipe it up with the sponge and ring out into the bowl either. I tried... though, the food critic the tomato soup was going to probably wouldn't of been pleased.

Sir, I started my own cooking channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5bzsQeHyfo
I think this game is the best if you want to be #1 Gordon

It's infuriating when you spend 10 min on a dish and you knock the pan or pot into something and lose 10 min, made me want to quit lol.

As a real chef you learn to become a butcher, baker, waitor and confettor so breaking plates happens rarely since every chef knows how to handle them, but i still like that feature.

The cleaning is the worst part for me, it's such a hassle to clean and empty it all for water in this game, i suggest making what every chef uses today which is a commercial dishwasher.

Every professional restaurant use one where you lift the lid and slide in all the dirty utensils or plates stored on a plastic tray made to fit and then lower it to wash, rinse and repeat.

isn't that too expensive? I've seen professional resturaunt hiring some dude in the back to wash it up lol.

We may think about some additional equipment in the long term. Right now, we are focussing on polishing the already available content though. If you can leave us a positive review on Steam, it will help us to keep the support in the upcoming months.

Take care,
Chef Gordon

Alll in all Its pretty fun game. Could use some QoL stuff like a soup ladle or some easier way to pour soups into bowls with out dumping the whole pot. But i am willing to wait wile they squash any launch bugs

You know, even if they don't give us the ladle... just the simple red marker like you get when pouring other things such as the liquid bottles or even the seasonings. Just something to let us know we are aligned to the bowl that way we only have to worry about the tipping portion of it. Granted tipping it in general is a challenge in itself. But, being able to see the alignment would ease some of that pain. All in all, I've been having a blast with the game. I find it quite fun. I love me a good challenge, even if it does make me want to rip my hair out on some occasions! :) lol
