Does this game teaches you how to cook?

no, it's an arcade game (style console) where you need to beat the time...,

they show you how to make some receipe, and some basic thing, but not how to cook,

cooking can vary from cook to cook to be able to arrive to the same result, they have not book or game they can teach you how to cook, you need to practice...,

in the game they miss too much reality thing to say it's can show you how to cook, it's much such as a receipe book where you can practice some very basic thing,

because the game are more an arcade game the time are not real and you cannot prepare the thing such as in the real life, they don't teach you how to put your finger to avoid to chop it, they don't show you to prepare your thing for the receipe because you have no time,

when you cook in the reality, you need to take into consideration the time it's take to make each thing, so sometime you can begin by the end, in the game you make anything the more fast you can only and in any order,

more cooking tool are missing, by exemple you have no rat tail, you have no tool for liquid thing, you have no whip, you cannot use your knife to move the food and the technic for it, ect...

but it's a good game they can let's throwing your bowl of soup in the windows, or laugh in taking thing on the ground and put it back in the plate (but i view more cook making this into restaurant ha ha ha), or you can practice to chop thing in the zero gravity (perharp to practice an test the space cooking thing if you go cook into space ha ha ha)

all the people can be a cook, all the people can read receipe book, but it's not all the people they cook in the same way and the receipe book it's only an idea they give to show how to make the basic, when you cook, you need to try and let's your imagination working and you can arrive in the same way but by an another road,

the only law in cooking it's "If it's good for you, it's good for anyone" even if it's not all the people they love the same thing, so it's don't want to say if it's not good for her it's not a good receipe...,

but today most cook don't know how to cook, because most of the thing or the basic thing are prepared outside to save time, and the cook in the restaurant don't know how to cook, they just know how to follow a receipe make by an other people...,

the true way to know how to cook it's to practice and make all by yourself, by example, if you want to make pasta, don't buy pasta, make it yourself, if you want to use bread, don't buy it make it, ect...,

if you can make all the thing by yourself and if you love the look you view and if you love the taste, you are a great cook, a receipe are only a guide to help you, it's not because you are able to follow a guide in any job it's whant to say you are a master in this work..., crack an egg seem easy but most people are not able...,

a game it's a game, so in playing you become a gamer not a cook ha ha ha,

but it's make lost nothing to this game, the game are fun, but i will never try to cook thing such as they make in the game, try to make an hamburger in the game, the final result in the game when you look it into the dishe it's bwweeeuurrrkkk ha ha ha, but in the reality it's have an another look and taste...,

and the most important thing to be a good cook, it's to work with the quality, don't try to stole money of the client in selling her a thing they seem big and they cost nothing to make for a big price, by example, again the hamburger, most restaurant sell it for neer 20$ for an hamburger, they look big but it's just a trick, look the bread they use, it's a big bread in height, the salad are puffed to make the hamburger more high, ect..., but in the reality it's just a normal hamburger they are far away of the quality for the monetary value they ask for it, but they have a good look...

but all this it's just my thinking, but it's true i have already view some supposed "cook", make meal such as this game and more bad than this ha ha ha

No I don't think so... Just like you can't learn how to drive by playing a driving simulator (even with a wheel and pedals and in virtual reality). These are practical skills that you have to practice in real life.
