For Nok-Nok, push him to become a Hero. Some evil choices will be needed but they are not truly evil.
Jaethal is the tricky one but we need to turn her into the good side. (from memory)
- Make her kill the resurrected elf
- Learn the method from the ''evil woman'' and convinced Jaethal that's is just too ''evil'' and kill that woman?. (This part about the evil woman is definitely something i will need to double check, i might be wrong)
- You must stay loyal to Jaethal when given the chance
- At the elf camp, convince her to not kill her daughter and the above choices are needed to convince her.
Is having both Tristain and Jaethal together required during their respective quests needed to save them both?
The only way to save both is to turn Jaethal into good Jaethal.
This is the who gonna kill who
Good Jaethal - Angel Tristian will kill > True Undead Jaethal > Human Tristian > *failed or killed Jaethal > fail or killed Tristian
* Failed or killed Jaethal might kill human Tristian, this is the dangerous outcome from my experience. So it's probably a killed or dismissed Jaethal kill > human Tristian
Jaethal - Make specific decisions during her personal quests so that she ultimately doesn't kill her daughter. Which temporarily kills her instead. Addendum: She can also survive if evil but this means losing Tristain.
Regongar and Octavia - Finish their quests but do NOT romance just one. Edit: Polyamory confirmed will save them.
Nok-nok - During his quest, push him towards being a hero.
Unknown:
Kalikke and Kanerah - I didn't have the relevant DLC on my first clear. Just a full clear of their quests?
Addendum:
Tristian - Good Jaethal is guaranteed to keep him alive assuming his personal quest has been completed. Evil Jaethal will get you one or the other depending on how their personal quests play out. Show mercy to the Kingdom of the Cleansed cultists and convince the cult leader to commit sudoku during his final quest. Obviously, don't kill him when given the chance during Betrayer's Flight.
Every companions has more then 1 way to do their quest. I have not try them all... i generally go with the methods i know for safety.
*Jubilost can also give it to the gnome ghost (i forgot her name), it's what i always do...
