Furthermore, the Skeletal Salesman may sell a Light Shield of Lesser Negative Energy Resistance during Troll Trouble for 4,160 gold, or alternatively a Padded Armor of Greater Negative Energy Resistance after Coronation but before War of the River Kings for 16,155 gold. The Skeletal Salesmen however is a random encounter. Your only other option is Death Ward, a SL 4 Alchemist/Cleric/Inquisitor/Paladin spell or alternatively a SL 5 Druid spell. For the record, Death Crusher's Full Plate lets the wearer cast Death Ward 2/day, and the Warding Helmet hidden at the River Blade's Camp confers a constant Death Ward effect unto the wearer.
