Build creation for Ranged character
I've been playing Pathfinder on my friends account and thinking about buying it but I allways like to play the game I like, not the way game limits me (I love freedom).

I'm fairly new into "Pathfinder" and looking for some interesting builds since my Ranger(1h+shield) + Smilidon started to feel really boring (pet kills everything in seconds...)
I wish there would be some megathread with all build links combined but can't find any literally anywhere, feels like noone really go for build sharing in this game like they do in Pillars of Eternity....
What I'm trying to create is: crossbow/bow build that has preferably high crit rate/fire rate and some special skill that allows to double the damage like active skill Vital Strike without limitations like spells(uses per day). Some defensive measure like entagle/trip/invisibility/teleport would be also nice to have in case enemy gets too close. Is it even possible in this game? I feel like Ranged classes are very limited here and if there are some they require cantrips to be used constantly which I don't like honestly...
Before I wanted to create character that would be able to use weapon as throwable weapon but I can't seem to throw weapons like Star knife even with "throw anything" trait

What I've noticed so far by looking at classes:
Fighter seems strong as any DPS build honestly from what I've noticed, be it either 2 handed fighter or bow fighter. Imo Bow type Fighter seems boring, literally 0 "Active" skills(not the ones to turn on/off) to use and only auto attacks compared to 2 handed fighter which can spam Devastating Blow or Trip skills.
I know there is possibility to create Ranged Paladin but overall paladins seem to be very weak/lacking what I'm looking for.
Is there an Inquisitor build that is able to go for Ranged weaponry? His skillset is very interesting but I have no clue how to use him at all so I stayed away (I know he has lot of party based skill that require other characters to have those skills too). Is there way to play him without party restriction based skills?
I've read a lot about Sohei / Zen Archer but can't find way to chose those archetypes or way to create them in game.

I'm big fan of Rogue archetype class in any DnD type of game but got some problems in Pathfinder Kingmaker. It feels overall like Rogue archetype doesn't fit the Pathfinder campaign at all due to limited ways of progression. (Fighter outclasses Rogue at anything in my opinion)
I also tried to create something like "Sniper" Rogue that can kill in 1 shot anything with ranged weaponry but I don't think he can do that at all without heavily reliance on sneak which I find to be very lacking in this game with party play or location wise. I can't find really proper way to play with 5 NPCS + way to manage rogue with invisibility since it breaks most of the time anyway. Sneak attacks are also limited to 30 feet which is bit "limiting". Could be that I'm maybe playing "Rogue" wrong in Pathfinder. In Pillars of eternity I could build crit ranged Rogue the way I wanted tho....

Are you serious? o_O

Sneak attack broken and completely cheaty in this game (it have much less limitations that in table-top Pathfinder). Strongest damagers in game are KnifeMaster/Vivisector and Sorc/ArcanaTrickster - both build around sneak attack exclusively and rest damagers fall behind them a lot.

I might have wrote wrong about "Sneak reliance" on rogue I agree on that, still I feel like Rogues are heavily "chained" in this game when it comes to single classing.(no weapon finesse on bow/crossbow, really? Like Why?)

Sneak attacks are not available for Bow/Crossbows since they can't "flank target" If I remember correctly? If that statement is true It doesn't fit the description of the build I would want.

Knifemaster = melee. Not what I look for.
Sorc/Arcane Trickster = pretty sure they are using cantrips as their main source of damage right? Again not what I'm looking for.
Vivisector = Use thrown splash weapon? Not sure what splash weapons are, are those the Alchemist Fire, grenade etc? Not really what I want.

I'm pretty sure those classes you wrote are cookie cutter classes that outclass anything. I want my own unique "useful" character

I'm not looking into multi-classing on my first playthrough.
I want to enjoy single class character built around Bow/Xbow with high Crit rate / high damage per shot
With little bit of defensive measures like entanglement or dissapearance/teleport away from enemies or special skill like Two handed Warrior has "Devastating blow" which would make me not worry about how many times I can use it in fight.
Is something like this possible or not really in this game?

I know for a fact you can't throw weapons here vs PnP version.....

There's also no Repeating crossbows from what I've seen (Didn't find any yet)
Also game miss archetype called "Bolt ace" which is basically made for crossbows and Firearms(not in game).
Game also miss "Sniper" feat, and I haven't seen any mods adding feats yet....

They're using spells for damage (for example - look on chain lighting and calculate it aoe damage for empower&maximized&sneak version). Cantrips are fillers when you don't want to cast anything - killing remains, tiny pack of some weak mobs and so on.

Vivisector is a rogue with alchemic spells. Sure, 4KM/14Vivi will get advanced rogue abilities 4 levels later, but he will get a spells...

You don't need them mostly. Fights with enemy adds are rare + you have pet that fast moving and can be sacrificed easily (and quite tanky on all but unfair).

Except this skill don't worth being used :) Well, ranger will get spells and some active ability too, but very late.

Game also missing concealment from party members on line of fire, so you can actually use archer since lvl 1 ;)
