Wilderness Counter - Stuck [Spoilers[

While looking for the troll cave, I had a wilderness encounter with 3 trolls and a kobold.

No matter what options I pick, even when I beat the kobold and 3 trolls, just the 3 trolls, or just the kobold I am stuck in combat.

I cannot leave, even with all characters alive. I cannot progress.
