Random crashes 10-20 minutes
Hi. So yeah, I'd love some help if at all possible. First off, let me say I'm loving the game, although it has been a nightmare to try and play. I think I've played about 2-3 hours, although half that time has been restarting the game after a crash. It hasn't deterred me yet though, but my frustration is certainly understandable. I don't usually have problems with games, so I don't really know what I can post to help you guys potentially understand my problem

Lets start with what I've tried. A lot. I've tried running the game as administrator, different graphical settings from highest to lowest, different game difficulty settings, different display settings. Even different audio settings, to no avail. I can't even pinpoint what causes the crash, sometimes it's during a save though rarely, sometimes during combat, sometimes just a random inventory screen. I understand, this is impossible to fix because the details are just too vague. I however figured I'd post hoping for the longshot that it's fixed, because I'd really love to enjoy the game.

Any information I can provide, please just request it. Some stuff I don't particularly know how to provide, like my system specs, I did build this computer, but that was a while ago and I'm not a hundo percent sure of it's components. I'm sure I could get those however, if it's helpful in anyway. Praying for replies!

Are you crashing frequently when reading spell descriptions?

That seems to be the biggest one for me. Mousing over a bunch of spell descriptions when I'm leveling up crashes my entire PC probably around 50% of the time.

Although I do believe I've had this happen to me once or twice, the majority of the time it's either in combat, or just running around. Unfortunately this makes it extremely difficulty for me to pinpoint, since it seems random (Although I'm sure it's not.) I just haven't found the correlation yet.

Hello.

This looks really strange. Do you have any mods installed? What info can you find in the windows event manager when game crashes?

I have a similar issue. Seemingly at random, the game freezes and I'm forced to reboot. I'm not running with any mods, and it could be 2 hours between crashes or 10 minutes. I've basically given up on the game at this point, despite loving it, because it's so irritating.

I've encountered a similar issue too, although it's triggered when I alt-tab out of the game during a loading screen.

What do you get in the event viewer? If it freezes there might be something. You can also turn on logging (you can read how to do it here: https://owlcatgames.com/content/bug-report-technical ) and share it and save file through cloud storage here.

Sharing the log file and save file would help immensely :) Also, looking into event viewer when game freezes might help.
Also, do you have any mods?

I just wanted to leave a quick update. Recently I began tinkering with it again, hoping to fix it. As I already explained, I did try updating my device drivers, which didn't work. However, doing a seemingly random windows update seems to have fixed the issue for me. This isn't to say that it'll fix all issues, I'm not sure what the update fixed, it seemed rather insignificant, but for whatever reason it did fix it on my end. Hopefully it can help some others having problems. Great game by the way. Having a blast.

Hey! Thank you, this might be useful. Do you know the number of the update?
