Bug - Gudrun Bridge Area inacccessible

I came here early and tried to climb the hill in the Lower-Left corner of map and had a weird result: No message just a fade in/out. Afterwards I could highlight the skill button to climb up but there was no data and I couldn't try again. A few levels later I came back for the bridge toll event and the False Stag Lord camp and wiped them out, but still no access to that hill in the corner, even though I've levelled up a bunch and beat the pretender. I know I did it on a previous save without incident, so I think the area is bugged now, and I think there's a relic/artifact up there that I'm missing, which is driving me nuts, plus the key to the DC 34 chest at pretender camp.

There is no important item up there, just a Dryad's Gift, while the chest itself contains some gold as far as I can recall.
