So, if you use diplomacy and tell the lumberjacks to buy the feathers themselves - pass
Then talk to her - hug her and she gives you a ring and releases the lumberjacks?
Talk to Corax again - he says the lumberjacks are dead - your options are to get 200 gold as a reward or attack them????

The triggers are broken on this encounter.

You can also walk outside of the map at the lower left corner.

I would...but that would require a lot of effort on my part. Like reloading a save several times and going through all dialogue options again. So, if someone else would like to go to the location and test the game they can.

I don't believe game logs would be helpful for you, since it's related to dialogue triggers - it should be reproducable in all games.

Y'all don't need a save, this isn't save-specific; you've got a bad conditional check in your script, it effects everyone who resolves this peacefully. We've had an ongoing thread on this bug here for several days. https://steamcommunity.com/app/640820/discussions/5/1734340257887376414/

Can confirm, I have this bug as well for this quest; no matter how I resolve the quest, it always registers the two captured lumberjacks as having died when I speak to Corax.

I had the same result, after handing her feathers and solving the quest peacefully, she released lumberjacks. After talking to Corax, she mentions two lumberjacks being dead and grumpily gives some gold.
Been getting the same thing, is their any reason I can't just hold off finishing the quest till the bug is fixed?

Sorry, but I don't have time for it.

Hence I wrote "(if possible)". The logs are not a must either, but sending the bug description via e-mail will make it easier to deal with.

I have the same bug. Corax tells me the released lumberjacks that are standing next to him have been killed.

It is known bug. Will be fixed in one of the upcoming hotfixes.
