A bug with Valerie's quest

I completed Valerie's companion quest and headed back to the capital to talk to her. After I finished the dialogue, I headed out. Then as the loading screen happened, it seems like it want to change into a scene in the tavern. But whether due to two loading screens happening, it causes the game to crash and put me back into the main menu screen at the beginning.

I know this is a bug caused by completing Valerie's quest by talking to her. It does not happen when I don't talk to her. I tried to get around it by talking to Valorie outside the throne room and head to the tavern. But it doesn't seem to trigger the scene if there is one. In fact, the moment I exit the tavern, it causes the same problem to come again. I get an error message and I'm back to the main menu.

Is there any way to solve this or do I have to wait for the patch?

what error message are you getting?

Is it Error : object instance etc..... ?

i passed the quest, and i'm just fine. But after doing several things and going back to the capital (throne room) i can't go out and continue because i got that error message above, and its still not fixed in the patch that just came out.

Yes, it is the Error: Object reference not set to an instance etc...

My problem seems to appear after I talked to Valerie and heading out of the throne room. If I don't talk to her about the quest, I can get out just fine. No problem.

I tried to see if talking to Valerie in the main square and going to the tavern would fix it, but it didn't work. When I tried to get out of the tavern, I still got the Error message.

And yes, the patch didn't fixed it.

Guess we just have to wait for the next windows patch.

Idk if the Linux or Mac users are experiencing the same problem as us.

For most people that have the same problem, this is the area where they got stucked mostly or around the time.

I remember talking to her and go out of the capital, doing couple of errands, and go to the throne room and unable to continue because the error messages appeared.

So i really hope they fixed it soon.

Same problem here. Pretty infuriating. Add to that the bug with 50% spell failure chance and you got yourself some wreck right here.
A shame, had a lot of fun with this game so far, but right now it feels like it WANTS me to dislike it.
