So to get the "true" ending you have to
date the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nymph. You can't just like do your own thing AND be a decent person who's like "here's your soul stick back". You have to hook up with her. I'm peeved about this. Could someone let me know when they make a mod where you can happily hook up with someone else and get the best ending?

It's not a true ending, it's a secret one. If you don't like the nymph, you probably won't like the extra ending she gets in it.
However there is an ending that excludes her that is just as good and you can have any romance you want:
-Kill her at the House at the Edge of Time so that she won't haunt your dreams later
-Defeat the Lantern King in the last chapter and through dialogue skill checks force him to remove the curse from the protagonist and the kingdom and leave them alone forever

Ah, I'd heard that if you kill her you don't get any part of that ending and the game just poots out there. Thank you.
