I wonder if I have to scout whole map again with now higher Perception because some locations (like Three Pines Island) literally pop only if you walk on top of them. I did "scout lands" projects as well. Or maybe some monsters are futher than Chapter V-VI?
If you scout the map there's a group of monsters in the eastern part.
This was the most disappointing fight in the whole game. 15th level Nok-Nok killed him in like 2-3 rounds - with +2 kukris.
They just must add Time Stop/Sequencers/Mantles/Protections to this game, this is not funny.
Or maybe fix sneak attack/flanking etc.
Lich dropped cloudkill which was fine but he then followed up with four successive greater shouts interspersed with wail of the banshee. Greater shout hit the whole team so I spent the whole fight stun-locked.
Amusingly, the lich just couldn't kill my ring of evasion wearing MC paladin with his spells. I think I may have actually run him out as he had to resort to melee attacks. Unfortunately the damage from greater shout was enough that he finally succumbed with about 15 seconds of stun remaining.
I'll come back when I legitimately drop the barrier.
The way: you can cast True Strike after opening the door, but before talking with the Lich. There is a small cutscene afterwards, which is why I didn't even try True Strike on my first attempt. But it isn't long enough to completely use up the 9 seconds. So throw True Strike on as many characters as possible, with wands and UMD if necessary, and if you have characters that can do a lot of damage (mine was a shapeshifted dragon with 5d6 sneak attack) you can kill him before he even finishes his first spell.
I was level 16 and this was on Hard.
But where is the phylactery?!?!?
