Call of the Wild mod adds Oracle.

As for the game not shutting down, I've seen that happen very very rarely on Steam, but never with this particular game. Maybe it's just a Steam issue.
Check out this mod on github :

It fixes a lot of bugs in the game, have not tried to use it together with Call of the Wild but seems compatible.

Interested, but there aren't any installation instructions.
Every time I get the urge to revisit Kingmaker, the first thing I do is google to see if the Fredero Sinnet immortality bug has been fixed. Of course, it never has been.

The game gives you the illusion of choice in dealing with him in Valerie's story quest, but in reality you have no choice because attacking him bugs out every time. The save/reload and "run off he map fast" solutions can still cause him to appear later in random travel events.

That one bug always discourages me from replaying.

Yes, the game is still extremely buggy. So is Wrath, as it has inherited many of the bugs from KM (for example, cure wounds in TB bugs out often). These are actual bugs btw, not "features".

Use mods like TT to fix many of the bugs that Owlcat will never fix.
It's got it's bugs but its not buggy to the point of unplayable. At least not for me.

Thanks. That's unfortunate; looks like a pain in the ass to set up for Linux.
