Stop him from casting. You probably won't stop the first one though.
And beware there are some adds behind you.

Care to elaborate?

I haven't seen him cast more than one fireball. Perhaps he switches to defensive spells if anyone is near? Also, channel positive energy recovers most if not all of the damage.

Oh my it was a long time ago.
But with a reliable archer, wands, spells, and perhaps one melee character next to him you can prevent him from casting.
Still a tough fight. because of the adds but a manageable fight.

I dont think so. I pretty much just told everyone to rush him as soon as the combat started, he always gets off 2 fireballs, wich is enough to party wipe all 5 people.

Yeah so you get probably attacks of opportunity by his frontline in addition to the fireballs.
Well i don't know, bracuse the last time i played the main campaign was probably 2 years ago. But rushing him doesn't work. You need to buff up, and stop him from casting. That is what i still remember.
IIRC you can get the rest of his party whipped by the fireball or you can bait it so that it targets just one character.

Fairly sure leopard to his face is answer.
Yeah in real time especially, have the person he's targeting run in and the Fireball wrecks his group without hitting yours. Move the rest of your group back.

In turn based, you can control or kill him before he acts though it's less reliable. High Initiative ranged Sneak Attack is a good way though. If you can't kill him fairly reliably, you might want to think about improving your group composition to save yourself headaches later on.

Scroll of resist fire communal and scroll of protection from fire communal is the answer. Actualy its the same tartucio you encounter in prologue and if you payed attention to his build, you might have a reasonable idea of what you`re gona fight.

Sir this is my first ever experience with pathfinder, so no.
Before battle prep is the key. You know he is a sorceror by examining his character sheet in the prologue Drink your fire proofing potions or scrolls put character points into mobility, Use fight defenisively to get by his mooks better yet get a dedicated archer in you party and snipe his sorry butt.

Only if the game included a low level spell that gave you resistance against a certain energy type. That would be super useful. Or even better two different types of protection spells that could work at the same time!
