Ch. 5 - War of the River Kings

I am unable to enter the Region of Pitax. I get a Book Event that turns me back. The only quest that I have been able to is the Path of the Dreams. I wasn't able to the Tournament, the Bandits' Camp, Littletown, the Abbey or anything in the Pitax Region. Now I have a month and half left before Pitax destroys my Kingdom. What am I missing?

If you missed the tournament (it has an expiration) then i do not believe there is any way forward. Bad quest scripting for certain.

Hopefully you have an old save.

I'd literally commit harakiri if this happened and I didn't have an old save.

I have saves but this is the second time. Is there a bug?

did you get invited to the tournament ?

I think 3 of 4 my playtrough ended in Pitax due to some scripts failures. Either you can`t reach Pitax, or 2 Iroverti spawn and you can`t proceed the story. Or some of pre-Iroverti quests fail and you can`t proceed. Really annoing part of the game when you need to save after every step.

I am not sure but is not there an "event" you need to do with the kingdom advisors in order to progress story? I do not remember because I never had any problem with any quest in the game...

In order to be able to enter Pitax, you have to do the "Enter Nyrissa's Dreams" mission, which gives you Whiterose Abbey as a location on the map, which then get's you evidence you can use against Irovetti and that get's you into Pitax.

I did get the invite but I couldn't get there. There was a Book Event each time I tried and I was turned back.

I did the dream quest but I couldn't get to the Abbey. There was a Book Event each time I tried that turned me back. The Abbey showed up on my map.

The chapter starts with Linzi wanting to talk to you in the throne room. You go and get the invite. Have Linzi in your party and got directly to the tournament as you only have 30 days before it ends.

Very straightforward.

True, but that is not what the op is saying and I wanted to simply state the quest order process.
"I did get the invite" is not the same as got the invite, met with Linzi in the throne room and then put Linzi in the party to go to the tournament.
