Have you done the other quest you have? The one about the rival?

About the rival, I've searched everywhere and cant find the guy.

I spent a month waiting...
Consider to change the description of the quest, it is misleading.

Yea. You need to complete the bitter rivals questline to continue, I was a bit confused with it at first also, wasted like 10 days.

I completed Bitter Rivals and have been to every node on the map. I still have the fog, so I can't get to the Stag Lord's fortress. Any ideas?

Did you go to Thorn Crossing then the Abandoned Hut then the Temple of the Elk? Fog shouldn't be as much of an issue then.

Everything except kill staglord in that quest needs to be completed then an event occurs and the fog lifts to go kill staglord. If it isn't checked it isn't completed.

Well the only other main quest I have is to get revenge for the riverbed spirit by killing staglord.

I've been to Thorn crossing, dunno about Abandoned Hut or Temple of the Elk tho. I"ll try that. Thx.

Update: Apparently I didn't reveal enough of Thorn's crossing, found the bandits, the abandoned hut and the Elk Temple. The fog's still there, but it's gone around the Stag Lord's fortress so I can finally take him on. TYVM. :-)

Where is this fort? I completed the rival quest. I visited the Thorn Crossing and talked to Jhod the priest; I visited the Abandoned Hut and saw things there; I went to the temple and now the pond there heals people instead of creating fog. But I can't seem to proceed, since Jhod is now non-interactive. All that the journal says is "tell Jhod when you find the temple" and "find that fort", nothing about how the fog is lifting. Is the main quest just plain broken until further notice?

Go back to Oleg's Trading Post. You will find Jhod there and you can talk to him. He appears in Thorn Ford, but you can't interact with him there. You can interact with him at the trading post.
Oh wow, you have to tackle Bitter Rivals to advance the quest? Jhod basically just told me that the magic takes time to dissipate and I should twiddle my thumbs and with 8 days left on my earlier autosave, I don't think theres going to be any hope of completing this before it fails.

I've done the rivals and have been wandering around, yet the fog is still there. How long does it take to disappear?

Clouds on map that I can't see through
I don't know if this is meant to be like this or it's a glitch?

For context I'm on Season of the Bloom, currently looking for the goblin village. Map didn't look like this when I played yesterday, I was at the bridge over the gudrin river, saved it and turned it off. Came back today, finished what I was doing and left to return to the world map and now that stuff is all over it.

A friend said its the mist from Chapter 1 but I don't remember seeing any mist in Chapter 1 and I'm way past the whole Stag Lord bit.

Thoughts?

yeah that does look like the mist from act 1 that prevents you from leaving the area, very strange. do you have any previous saves to compare it to?
