The problem with the game is the Unity engine which isn't known for its optimisation.
Personally I switched the game to borderless windowed and redused shadows and realtime lightng to medium and its kind of better .
Be aware, on huge fights where everyone is interacting at the same time (spells etc) its normal for fps to drop from all those effects that go on.

I'll give that fix a try. It's just so weird, I've never had these sorts of issues before, especially with a game like this, even on my laptop. I just think that it's weird that it can pump out 100+ fps in games like warframe, ffxiv, and many others, but it struggles with this one.
If it is a bug or memory leak or something I certainly hope it's patched soon, I really love this game!
If I could I would my friend.
Its the game and the people making it need to give us a better more optimized product. Its not acceptable that we can play other games with more intense requirements with no lag.
If it is the Unity engine then someone needs to fix it instead of making players suffer.
Also people need to ask them if they have fixed this before they release PF:WotR.
Honestly this sort of answer is what I was expecting. It's the same with Anthem and a few other games.
My laptop has an 8750 running @ well aove 3.4ghz under load, a 2060 with a good amount of vram, 32gb dual channel ram, and all running on an ssd. My desktop has an msi 1070 seahawk, disk drive and ssd boot drive, 16gb dual channel, and an 7700k running @ 4.9ghz.
With games like pathfinder and Anthem, even though both of my machines are specced higher than recommended, performance on both is spotty at best. I just chalk it up to poor optimization and/or it needs a patch pretty badly.
I'll just hope that there will be a patch released that will allow the game to run better, or until someone has better advice than "get better specs bro". lol
So get on FB and what ever other platforms they are on and tell them. ( I already have and I do it regularly... until they fix it).
Ask them if they are working on a fix for optimizations problems in the unity engine or the game itself. Ask them if the are working on the optimization issues with pcs that use multiple cores (since basically all new ones now do).
FYI I am using the 2060 super and it runs 90% good but every so often I see a tad of lag and it really irks me. Because I know its not the hardware.
Anyway I am gonna pop in a 2070 super tommorow to see the difference and I am actually ordering that RTX 3060 for 500$ Its a good deal.
Not forcing players do download things in order to fix their game.
shoo shoo schizoid, we already told you its an issue with the engine and the devs cant do anything about it
