Summoner (Twin)
This is more of an annoyance than anything else but still.

2 Classes with animal companions cannot summon 2 companions. The CL stacks instead.
You can have a summon at the same time as an animal companion.

A summoners eidolon is treated as a summon, therefore you cannot summon anything else at the same time.
Makes sense, fair enough.

But when you select your eidolon acquired ability, there is a prerequisite saying "no animal companion". If it is treated as a summon then whaa ???

I'm not sure about game rules that might be causing it but it might be an engine limitation.

Since when is there a summoner in this game?

There's a popular mod called Call of the Wild that adds a bunch of classes and subclasses to the game.
its an engine limitation, i'm assuming the eidolon is being classified as an animal companion.

Frankly its a problem with alot of these games not wanting to give us proper summon monster and such BUT! i will say in this case, the summoner is not a base class in Kingmaker, it was added via a mod so it was never planned. Even in Wrath i dont think the summoner is going to be in it base line so we'll probably have to rely on modders again for it.

Herald caller would have been fun, but the rest system for casters is poop.
I miss nwn. Push R, 6 - 7 seconds and off you go again.

If you're looking to spam your most OP spells then yeah, NWN is a much better fit than Kingmaker.

It makes it closer to a tabletop experience. I play casters in pathfinder pnp and casting spells is a big deal, most of the time you go with scrolls, wands, cantrips and do exploration related tasks.

Pathfinder 2e kind of corrects that with cantrips scaling with your character level and having non spellbook/repertoire powers (like domain spells, bloodline spells etc.) being virtually per encounter instead of per rest (the focus points only need 10 minutes to regenerate, not 8 hours), and reducing the number of slots of the actual spellbook to 3-4 slots per levels.
