Kukri/Hand axes
Hi everyone
I was wondering what kind of stats do theese weapons need. Do they need dex or str?or both?

It depend, but rogue level 3 will only give you 1 weapon finesse training.

So if you really want to dual wielding those, you should go STR or a high level DEX rogue.

For example, 18 STR, 15 DEX is more then enough with the help of DEX item to get all two weapon fighting feats and you will then use your STR for attack/damage.

Agile dex

Strength for attack bonus and damage

or

DEX + weapon finesse for attack bonus
DEX + weapon finesse training (rogue level 3) for damage

Melee builds are STR, unless you get dex to damage through a class feature. Relying on agile weapon property limits you in which specific weapons you can use.

D/W can go dex, it's fine. The AB ends up pretty bad, but hey aint everyone is created equal in dnd. In case you are adamant on using kukris there's little reason not to go dex, I say.

Although I'd go str double sword over kukri any day of the week, that's true as well.

If you are going rogue 3+ a dex build is fine, you can dump strength. Anyone else should invest mostly in STR with just a few points in dex for armor class and reflex save reasons.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

It's not complete advice and is misleading for a new player.
