How do you save Bartholomew Delgado on Unfair?

Title. This dude gets pummeled in 5s by 3 trolls. I've been trying to save him for 2 hours and he gets completely destroyed 3 seconds after i reach him.

Basically Hold person, Hideous Laughter and haste.

But he is not a good advisor and his loot is pretty good, so....

you have one cast before he dies, so fascinating song+stinking cloud should do it. Add some grease if you got lucky enough and he survived round 2. Bonus points for using TB switch in combat to get free move actions and full round spells as intended by devs.

He makes a good Grand Diplomat actually. Terrible Treasurer though ,easily the worse choice of the ones available.

I saved him after i posted this. used heightened grease on the two trolls and tripped the single troll, then nuked them. worked okay.

You don't, you complete the quest within 2 months so he isn't in trouble in the first place.

You cannot 'hold people' - this is unfair.

You cannot song and cloud, this is unfair.

Please don't listen to these character builders who don't actually play unfair - complete the challenge within 2 months and he is free to use.

IE: You save scummed untill it worked. There is no reason to even be in this position.

You can't guarantee a save on unfair. Quit the bs. With the chances of any CC to work, it's about 20% you can save him first try at best. And that's if you rolled decently and he didn't die on the first round.
