Cloudkill Steering...
Y'know you can steer spells like Cloudkill and Plague Storm?
The ones that make a cloud that slowly moves away from the caster... well, that isn't strictly true. They slowly move ahead of the caster, as in along their line of sight.

I just found, upon dumping a Cloud Kill and all 5 varieties of Plague Storm on a target and watching them vanish off into the distance, I moved my protag out of the way and tried to kill the target with another character... only to panic when the Cloudkill and 5 Plague Storms started coming back...
... Then I figured out how it worked and made them do a little dance by turning my caster round in circles.

That is the expected function of that spell, yes, so reciting it is pointless.

That is called issuing a warning

Well so far as I can tell, wind spells are rare and elusive, so the situation isn't likely to arise very often. Rarer than golems either. In fact this whole discovery originally stemmed from my intents to find which spells could damage golems.

Sort of curious if it's possible for the caster to end up inside cloud type spells without casting the spell next to the caster.

Also, if a caster casts cloudskill, get's feared/panicked/etc etc and starts running like a headless chicken, I guess he could end up killing his party . But he'll be safe.

Another thing worth noting is that cloud-type spells do get stuck on obstacles like cliffs... or furniture...
Do NOT cast them in confined spaces.
Y'know that random pub that is involved in the stupid Deal with the Devil quest? I tested out a bunch of cloudkill and plague storm spells in that fight... and they ended up blocking the door and not going away. I had to exit my entire party through the lot of them and everyone ended up with massive attribute damage from just half a second of exposure.

... In hindsight... it was an inn. I probably could have spent the night there to cancel the clouds.... probably.
