Honor and Duty - Stuck on "waiting"

So, I'm at my 2nd playthrough, and I've added Pitax to my realm and after that defeated the "Wild Hunt" part of the curse. Now I'm just counting down to Nyrissa, and I'm at 210 days till the (final, IIRC) curse begins.

However, there is one Kingdom quest that remains active, and it's the "Honor and Duty" kingdom quest. I can't remember getting this quest during my last playthrough, nor when I first got it in this playthrough- although I think it was just before getting the festival invite from the Pitax king. Been waiting for it to start ever since, but it still says something like "Wait for events to unfold" or something. Also says I've allied with someone, but can't remember that happening either.

I want to know if there's some way to trigger this quest or if it's a bug I can't do anything about.

If the former: What sort of kingdom stats, if any, are required to progress the quest? Who to meet and where? Any particular companions needed to do something or bring along?

I'm slightly worried that switching Jaehtal for advisor at one point somehow broke something - even if neither she nor Ekun had any active events or projects going on at the time.

I don't remember that one or having any issue with a kingdom event in general.

I found mention of a late november patch note mentioning the quest Honor and Duty not working, and that the issue had been resolved...

Ctrl+F for "honor and duty" here https://pathfinderkingmaker.fandom.com/wiki/Patches to find that patch, but I'm having the same issue. I just stepped into the portal for the House at the edge of time and suddenly that quest, which was there since way back, failed. It never progressed otherwise since the first entry.

Yeah, it's the same even now (finally get to play this for the first time and i'm buffled about the amount of bugs and ingame misinformation... or more likely the absent of information on many topics and quests... ). Failed because i went to First World, I reloaded save and now i'm trying to waste some time in case something would pop up.

I just had an update on this, having googled getting the same result and finding no one had an answer. While travelling in the North Marches I had a "random" encounter with some villagers who complained about the Mendev's taking their people. I chose the option to side with the villagers and it closed the quest. Don't know what would happen if you side with the Mendev. In the story, this is just after I got the invite to go to Pitax. Haven't actually been there yet.
