And the AI behaves differently in both, which can be good or bad depending on your group setup and strategy. So to really master the game and the system, you want to be able to use both even if you have a preference for one or another.
On the other hand, some builds just unplayable without turn based mode (vital strike, ecclesitheurge etc.)
Real-time arguably is MUCH easier because you can just kite away, enemies cant even reach you if you know who they target.
i mostly blame the poor AI because typically enemies just go for whatever is close. rarely ive seen enemies favor the Main Character for some reason, nothing in-between
