Sword Saint build tips
I want to start a new game (normal difficulty) and I was thinking about playing as a human SS but i'm a bit lost and I'd really appreciate some help, specially with what feats to take.

I was thinking about going DEX with estoc but i saw that you can algo go STR so idk which one is better. Also is It worth getting multiclass or stay pure? I've seen some ppl take some Monk or Alchemist levels.

I'm not looking for a super minmax build but i want to have some fun and deal tons of dmg and i've read that this class can do that.

About the stats I assume i max DEX and INT, some on CON and ignore the rest.

And feel free to give me any other weapon recommendations you know. Thanks!

Sword saint are armor. They gain dodge. Of course dealing damage is possible if you not being killed in 2 seconds.

Bastard sword is a good option, there's a way to make it dexterity based. You can't just pick any weapon in this game. There are none. You only allowed to pick what weapon them thought were important and that is most of the time longsword and bastard sword. Good luck trying to find the weapon you focus on, the chances are higher for a full blood moon.

If you want to deal tons of damage, you go Str build. Which is less tankier than Dex build, and requires positioning early to mid game (till lvl 13). I think SS goes well with 1 level of Scaled Fist monk (Charisma to AC, because Persuasion is best skill for main character). Some people go with 1 lvl of Traditional Monk and Wisdom.
Dex Human SS can take Chosen weapon (Longsword/Rapier/Estoc) - Weapon Finesse - Slashing Grace at lvl 1, and be tanky and deal ok damage. Stats be like 7 - 19 - 8 - 16 - 8 - 16. Keep Defensive Fighting on always. Take Dodge and at lvl 4 one level of Scaled Fist - Crane Style. Then keep going SS till the end. Crane Wing at level 7.
Rest of the feats depending on the party. Good ones - Combat Reflexes, Blind Fight, Toughness, Arcane Strike, Outflank (Requires companion with same feat), Weapon Specialization, Improved Critical, Extra Arcane Pool.
You need to be Lawful Good to utilize Cha build, because of Cleric's buff Bestow Grace of the Champion. Which means you need Cleric in your party, and 1 Sorcerer to buff you with Mage armor until you get +4 armor bracers.

For normal, I'd go strength, a two hander, and not multiclass at all. I went fauchard for a certain weapon that synergizes with SS crit abilities and it worked really well. You also won't need Con as you'll have reach, good AC, and spells like Mirror Image as needed.

Feats will depend somewhat on your group, especially Teamwork Feats. I found Cleave and Cleaving Finish to be particularly useful for a reach SS, as they can usually reach more enemies to Cleave. Also I'd keep in mind that many guides for SS are designed for tanking on Unfair, which isn't really applicable to your situation.
