And can I change class and then to back to my druid class?
I don't mean to be rude but I honestly think you'll have a better and more fun time if you take a couple of hours to familiarize yourself with the basics of Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 and more specifically the Pathfinder rules.
The reason I suggest this is because the game does a pretty fair good of translating the tabletop rules to computer so it's a good idea to have a basic idea if what the game expects you to know before booting up.
You can own the game on a different service... I own it on GOG personally, but Steam has better forums.
You choose class every level. You can do 20 levels of Druid, as well as 1 of every class. So you can start as Druid, on 2nd level pick Fighter to get proficency, and then choose druid for rest of the levels.
Elf race always can use bow no matter the class.
Np.lol. I'm learning all that too at the same time. Any good basic intro you recommend? I already know the old d&d rules. Version 3 i think.
Ty. When you are creating your character do you remember where you can check these?
Also, did you figure out the armor/sword puzzle in Jamandi Aldori's mansion and loot BOTH of the secret treasure rooms that it unlocks? Starting over would give you a chance to do that. There are many puzzles like that in the game,

if you want a chill option without thinking too much, get 1 level in fighter or some other class (alignment requirements!). if you go with the fighter level, you might as well take the aldori fighter so you can use a dueling sword as an extra.
or you go with the race route, meaning elf. longbows, shortbows, rapier & longsword. also the elven curved blade becomes a martial weapon ("down" from exotic weapon), meaning if you get a level in a class that learns martial weapons (fighter, paladin, etc) or you get the martial weapon feat, you can use an elven curved blade too.
since you´ve chosen to go with a blight druid, there´s no reason to discuss what class is better since most are.
sounds complicated, but is actually pretty basic.
short version: sh*ts complicated.
Best solution has already been given: either take a class that allows for martial weapons proficiency, or take the feat.
