Alternatively, you can buy 1BP for 80GP from a merchant in your capital. It's going to take a while to get your Barony's economy going on its own.
A Village can only support "level 1" buildings, so to do any of the upgrades you'll need a Town, which you can't upgrade to until you control 3 regions and 3 settlements.
I forget where the bestiary is off the top of my head, but I think its one of the tabs in your game menu or something...
And I wish there was a bestiary with more than fluff :) The fluff is on the journal scroll.
You can upgrade buildings after you do a project to upgrade the capital, you need atleast 3 regions with towns and 6 slot in the capital to build on.
There is none.
Second, part of your BP is taken due to your founders (Restov) taking part of it as a tax, and no, you can't fix this until later in the game, your stuck with it for a while.
Third, you can't ungrade buildings until you upgrade your villiage to a town, which you can't do until you have 3 villages. You can only have 1 village per territory, so no upgrades until you can get 3 territories, which only becomes possible at a certain point in the game.
Fourth, the bestiary is part of the same series of tabs that you character sheet and inventory sheet are part of.
