Paladin attributes...STR or CHA?
Not entirely sure which path to follow once both are around 18+. Because of gear my character is wearing both stats are 21, but at this point I get better attack rolls on STR versus an actual spell slot with CHA.

Any advice would be appreciate.

I'd say CHA is secondary to STR for a Paladin, assuming the Paladin is a frontline warrior

This, that said, 16 str, 16 cha is a good starting point for a paladin.

Yes, he is frontline up there with Valerie. I use them both as my frontline.

Well, i would go for strength. Paladin spellcasting is a gimmick. I would let the spellcasters like Hagrim, Linzi and Octavia do the spellcasting and focus more on your to hit and damage. One extra spell slot won't help much imo.

CHA is mostly useful for the saving throw bonus, I wouldn't bother going above 16 or 18 myself

STR is better but CHA is a lot more than Spells in a paladin.

You also add it to:
- your saves
- Attack bonus aggainst Smited enemy
- CA bonus aggainst Smited enemy
- the number of lay on hands you have

And your spells, you need at least a 14 cha to access all spells a paladin can cast. That said, the best race for a paladin is the Angel-Blooded Aasimar, since they get a +2 to both strength and charisma

With am 18 charisma you LL have +1 spell for each of the spell level you have access, though after that not much point in adding (except with item if it's not taking the place of something more useful)

My Paladin start is STR: 18 (+2 from the race since i am human)
DEX: 13 (to get bonus AC and open the dodge feat + access to S.Defender)
CON:14
INT:10
WIS:10
CHA: 15
After i get my CHA to 16 i throw everything on STR since my Paladin is a frontline warrior with a two handed weapon.

Works vert well in the beginning as a damage dealer and in 12+ levels he still does good damage and supports the team with his paladin spells and skills. He can handle most if not all of the persuasion checks too so i think its an ok build.
Honestly paladins need a little bit of everything except intelligence... Dex 12 at least charisma is going to be important to make your saves stupid high in every area. Str for damage, con for health wisdom for spells (at leasta 14) they are kinda like monks in that respect.

Pathfinder paladins use Cha for spells, not Wis. They have an advantage over Clerics there who still need Cha for Channel Energy.

During level 1 to 20 You will gain 5 points. Lv. 4,8,12,16 and 20. My advice is to always leave an odd number in most importats atributes at character creation in any class.
Paladins for exemple: STR 16, DEX 9, CON 14, INT 12, WIS 12, CHA 15
At level 4 u can put CHA 16 and the rest in STR, lv.8 STR17, lv.12 STR18, lv.16 STR19 and Lv.20 STR 20
Just a advice... See you in the ffields of battle noble paladin :D

Welp proof i dont play a paladin =3 i wasnt aware this got changed, more of a socerer/wizard player or magus i do love me some magus.

well the game doesn't have a divine might feat for paladins, so i'd go with str > cha.

some of the older D&D games i played had that feat (nevewinter nights i think, probably also others?). it allowed you to sacrifice 1 use of turn undead to add bonus holy damage to your melee swings instead (length and magnitude of the skill both determined by cha bonus).

cha is useful for saving throw bonus, a few bonus spell slots (rather insignificant due to how poor the paladin spell selection is) and to boost diplo / intimidate checks (if you want to take that route). and that's about it.

strength boosts your hit chance and damage, so it's overall more useful unless you want to play the paladin primarily as a healer. but i guess it would make much more sense to play the character as a cleric and not as a paladin in that case.
