Yes, he is frontline up there with Valerie. I use them both as my frontline.
STR is better but CHA is a lot more than Spells in a paladin.
You also add it to:
- your saves
- Attack bonus aggainst Smited enemy
- CA bonus aggainst Smited enemy
- the number of lay on hands you have
DEX: 13 (to get bonus AC and open the dodge feat + access to S.Defender)
CON:14
INT:10
WIS:10
CHA: 15
After i get my CHA to 16 i throw everything on STR since my Paladin is a frontline warrior with a two handed weapon.
Works vert well in the beginning as a damage dealer and in 12+ levels he still does good damage and supports the team with his paladin spells and skills. He can handle most if not all of the persuasion checks too so i think its an ok build.
Paladins for exemple: STR 16, DEX 9, CON 14, INT 12, WIS 12, CHA 15
At level 4 u can put CHA 16 and the rest in STR, lv.8 STR17, lv.12 STR18, lv.16 STR19 and Lv.20 STR 20
Just a advice... See you in the ffields of battle noble paladin :D
Welp proof i dont play a paladin =3 i wasnt aware this got changed, more of a socerer/wizard player or magus i do love me some magus.
some of the older D&D games i played had that feat (nevewinter nights i think, probably also others?). it allowed you to sacrifice 1 use of turn undead to add bonus holy damage to your melee swings instead (length and magnitude of the skill both determined by cha bonus).
cha is useful for saving throw bonus, a few bonus spell slots (rather insignificant due to how poor the paladin spell selection is) and to boost diplo / intimidate checks (if you want to take that route). and that's about it.
strength boosts your hit chance and damage, so it's overall more useful unless you want to play the paladin primarily as a healer. but i guess it would make much more sense to play the character as a cleric and not as a paladin in that case.
