Totally lost too. Can't figure it out. I've come across at least two "Mysterious Shrines" but messing around with them isn't helping. They seem to have different symbols on the pillars, but I don't recognise them at all.

Anyone with supreme levels of IQ able to spot a pattern or clue from those? I'm at a loss.

North Shrine:
The nearly erased description reads: "Farewell, my queen. Death was the best gift we could give you."

South Shrine:
The nearly erased description reads: "You won't forgive us, my queen. Neither will we."

Death and Forgiveness...maybe you need to cast a spell or something? Negative energy and positive energy, or..? For all I know there's a third shrine located in lands I'm not currently allowed to access

They both seem to have four tiles missing, too.

Maybe. I'd already messed with the South shrine pillars so I don't remember where it was in its starting location, but when I found the North shrine I didn't touch it at all.

You can move the pillar only up and down on the marked tiles. Can't be moved anywhere else, and there's nothing in both zones that I could discover except for the single stray tile with those descriptions. Even the quest log doesn't mention anything helpful.

What about the missing tiles? Maybe there's a clue there, just not seeing it. The game doesn't even make any note when you move the pillars, no click, no feedback, it just teleports instantly and quietly.

Maybe there's a third shrine somewhere?

My best guess is that each site needs to have a position that adds up (like the pillar in the top spot of all sites or something) and, taken together, form a pattern (like a V).

There is at least 3, maybe 5, but i've only found the 3 (south, pitax, gelnborn)

There are 5 shrines, 4 of which are called "Mysterious Shrines", and the last called "Giggling Hill". If you take the empty spaces from each area, you end up with this pattern:

Put the megaliths on the O for each column.


Spoiler:
Something will spawn and you have the option to kill it. It's got some pretty good loot, and it's relatively easy to kill.

They are scattered around the western part of the map. If you only found two, you need to progress farther down the main storyline.

Found 3 shrines and the hill so far.
Giggling Hill is very much SW of the map.
Shrine 1 is NW of Flintrock Grassland, further north is impossible on the map.
Shrine 2 is where the East Sellen River makes an S-turn, SE of Flintrock Grassland.
Shrine 3 is directly where the name "Pitax" is noted on the map.
Where is Shrine 4? I can not find it, even though I explored every route I could see.

its SE from Wicked Hill. Go S to blank node, turn east there. U should stop at end of Pitax River. Go NE and shrine should be visible (i hope)

Okay, little problem:
North of the river it DOES stop me mid-travel, but there is no way to go from there but back and forth. Maybe it's bugged out, like so many other things (grrmpf).

I am also having problems with this quest, in my case i found 3 of the 4 shrines plus the Giggling hill but for some reason the shrine over "Pitax" doesn't pop up.
