Psyckosama, great points. Those things happens when creators don't think within universe but go for cheap melodramatic tricks. I would also add that rest of my group that stay in the capital, should be very well able to defend it.
Completely agree with Kesten though. The Devs could have made it an encounter with a Deamon who reaps his soul after death or his body gets lost in the First World or something.
Seriously, this isn't a new problem in this game -- almost any game that has resurection magic runs into this problem. If the plot says someone is dead, then someone is dead, no matter how silly it is.
Final Fantasy 7 anyone?
Super simple and a plot hole is vanquashed. Still, its pretty minor thing to have skiped considering the general state of the game.
