Weight Issue
One thing that's a a little bit rough early in the game is the weight issue.

I think the carrying capacity is fine as is but the gameplay would be a lot better if the weight stuff made more sense.

Each ration weighs ten pounds? So dinner for four adventurers on the road is a hearty 40lbs of food per night? Is this Pathfinder: BBQ where each character is carrying around a brisket?

Oh, done with food? Don't worry! Have a FIVE POUND POTION to wash it down...

(Don't get me wrong, love the game, just having a hard time with carrying stuff)

Honestly rations aren't worth carrying around anyway. Resting inside dungeons is pretty worthless, at least to me.

As for weight issues, a lot of the problem comes from trying to carry around 40 leather jackets or whatever that are only worth like 2 gold. Gotta stop grabbing everything that isn't nailed down and only focus on the good stuff, I guess.

I agree that the rations are too heavy for what they are though.

My guess is that th weight is an inbuilt limit to how often you can rest in a dungeon. It removes the fight-one-room-let's-rest routine.

Oleg has a bag of holding in his shop that helps out a lot. As for weight on "camping supplies", I can only imagine that the tent is disposable (LOL) (or water is pretty heavy - maybe it includes water skins?) Yeah, it's obviously there to limit how often you can save in a dungeon, but if it weren't there, everyone would be carrying around 1000 rations.

yeah in real DnD rations are 2lbs so 10 pounds is just ludicrous along with all thep otions and half pound scrolls which are just silly

In the early game I'd carry, at best, a days worth of rations. And just don't bother picking up equipment that weighs a lot and sells for little, it's just not worth slowing you down on the overworld map.

You certainly want to get every Small Bag of Holding you see though, they stack and you'll start getting a lot of more carrying capacity.

Am I the only one that has a problem with this nonsense about party weight when you're leaving Oleg's? So I'm carrying 200lbs of stuff, which is fine if distributed among my group. But when I'm in town, I'm carrying it all myself (I'm my own group, right?) and then when I try to gather my companions and try to leave it tells me I can't leave because I'm over-encumbered. But that's because it's just my carrying capacity; if I had other people in my group they could carry it...
