Areas on world map not appearing?
What causes non quest areas to appear on the map? For example ratnook refuses to spawn on my world map no matter how much i walk around the area its at on the worldmap.

I believe they may have a perception check associated, but I am not sure.

so can i ever roll again if i failed it the first time, i have some decent percptions 11 and 10.

I have noticed that with higher perception skill you can at least discover locations farther away.

Yep perception check, those can always fail. I also have a good perception bonus, still it took me forever to discover waterlogged lowlands for example
