For Act 2, while there's more things requiring your attention (and things that'll eat up 2 weeks to do), you again have an extremely generous time limit - especially if you deal with the 'main quest' problems, which will shut off a significant number of the 'Problems' that can spawn, therefore freeing up more your time to do side quests and develop your kingdom without worry.
The time limit is more present to ensure the story progresses "realistically", but is generous enough to allow you to do basically everything anyway.
This is important, because especially when you get your barony, if you slack off on the main quest, you'll drown in Problems that will crumble your barony. But the sooner you deal with it, the sooner you basically have the rest of the time of the act to quest and develop in (relative) peace.
Thank you for this! I'm on my first playthrough and in Act 2. I was planning on dragging out the main quest as long as possible. This is great to know!
Yeah, don't drag it out. The sooner you deal with the problems, the sooner Troubles they spawn will cease to spawn, allowing you to free up your advisiors to do other tasks. It's worth noting that when you clear the event, any Troubles on the board will remain.
