Web is extremely obnoxious
So half my team is standing around for 15 real life minutes continually failing the mobility check to break free. No danger. Just waiting. Great game.

Why doesn't fireball, burning hands, a torch, etc. etc. burn these webs away like in tabletop? Standing around in a web after a combat makes the spell completely unusable for the player and the webs are extremely obnoxious when encountered.

Heh, its caster level in minutes, most spider traps early game are level 3. I alt tab to look at the 'git gud' vs 'game is too hard' posts online for 2 mins then alt tab back into the game :)

As a DM I would let people burn the webs, with player damage included - it was a harsh trade off :)

Can't burn the webs with the torches you get at the beginning of the game? That would make them more handy.

I don't get a lot of use out of web due to what you are describing, but it was pretty useful in the Stag Lord fight.

Does dispel magic work? That should do the trick for the ones cast by npcs.
But I'll admit it IS annoying: in PNP you are allowed to slash them or burn them.
The devs really should have a dismiss spell feature which is normally a standard action to do with spells that have (d) next to their duration

Heh - no you can't in this game - if i remember correctly, you could burn webs from like 1976 first edition dnd rules, but 2d4 damage to any caught in them.

Dispel wouldn't work on a non spell like ability, ie: a natural or supernatural ability, like a monsterous spiders web trap, isn't really 'a spell like ability' - kind of like getting poisned by a scorpion and and casting dispel magic - aint happening, buddy.

Fire does work on webs in the pathfinder rules.

I used dispel magic on a web trap and that worked but yeah seriously annoying.

Seriously, there's no way for spellcasters to dismiss their own spells?

Waiting for your own Webs to dissipate or getting stuck in them for minutes after combat is really annoying.

Dispel Magic might work but otherwise no. The Eldritch Arcana mod gives you an ability that lets you dismiss your own spells though.
Eldritch arcana mod allows you to dismiss spells
