Resting does not restore spells

Does not matter if I rest for 8 hours, a day, two days, my spells will not restore. Kind of important when playing a mage... Yes I have the spells I would like in my spell book ready for the next rest. Thoughts?

Do you have 10 points in the stats corresponding to your class ? For exemple, Wizards and Alchemists must have at least 10 INT to cast spells level 1+
Clerics, Druids, Inquisitors, Rangers : WIS
Bards, Paladins, Sorcerers : CHA

I had that happen. I had a theory that it was happening during the time when you have one of those dreams near the start of the game, but I never tested it out, because the problem went away. So did the dreams, for that matter.

My Druid has the same problem. Cant cast any spells (lvl9,after resting , all stats above 10, leather armor).But he can still sshapeshift into bear , wolf and leopard. really hope there will be a patch with a resolution , until then im gonna play with my ranger :)

Rest do not restore spells! Even in bed (in Oleg's trading post) when i rest 8 or 9 hours i dont see spells restored.

I need rest _again_ and this rest takes 1 day (!) so that spells return.

Re-starting game and resting somewhere else like world map helps. Happened to me in Armag's Tomb.

I've noticed the game defaults down to a 1hr rest sometimes even after selecting how long you want to rest for. I've had some success re-selecting how long I want the rest to be for during the summary screen before it shows you yours successes and failures.

If you're resting early on in the game and getting those nightmares, they prevent you from resting. You'll need to search for the source of the nightmares before becoming unfatigued and regaining spellslots. Yeah, it's a pain, but something's trying to get your attention.

Of cause, it not nightmares. I dealth with them before they appeared.


Now i spend 2 days resting!.... Neither making camp or staying in bed did help.

Why people keep bringing up nightmares, is beyond me. It is first thing anyone would check.

Problem is with game (bug) OR it is hidden mechanic.


Same as you cant select some spells for magus..

It even say "Resting 8 hours. Party would not rest", something like this.

Can't really comment, but a similar problem - selecting spells on levelup. The spell selection lists all spells for lvl 4, and they're all listed as lvl 4, even burning hands, corrosive touch etc. Now, I can roughly tell which are what level, but this is odd. Anyone else got this? (Octavia)

Yeah resting doesn't work have to camp, why do I have to leave the map and camp if I want to restore my spell slots? Just used all my spell slots to deal with a zombie horde, put a camp down and they only waited they didn't restore anything. Seems like a bug to me.

In some locations, especially underground, you cannot hunt. If you have not enough rations with you, then you cannot rest in these locations.

You do have rations and are resting, not just passing time in camp? Ridiculous, I know, but I did that once.
