ah dang. almost got it right. Oh well, also 'Fey dude' was a Fey Queen im pretty sure.
I killed the tree, so i have the letter, the ring and I have the coins. I can ONLY give the coins to the ghoul Dorsy and Wilbur. I cannot find Nyta in the South West pond and cannot give her flowers/ring.
Its one or the other, if you give it to the goul you cannot tive it to alter.
Ok, a few misconceptions here.
Resist Energy gives you Energy Resistance. Which is like DR, except that it subtracts its magnitude from the specific type of energy damage incoming. If you have Fire Resistance 10, you take 10 less damage from any source of Fire typed damage. The spell starts out giving you Resist of 10 against the energy type you specify when you cast the spell. At caster level 7, it improves to give you Resist of 20 instead of just 10.
Protection From Energy works differently. It gives you a pool of pseudo hit points that are only effective against a specific energy type. It's a bit like the Protection From Arrows spell: any incoming energy damage of that type is subtracted from your Protection From Energy spell's pool of points before it is applied against you.
Beldame said this was not possible for Dorsey to make it.
Sure, it's one of other answers when you talk to Bedlame, probably the most ominous one. Saying more would be too spoilery for the whole game.
As for the Wisps, they don't have infinite 10d6 attacks. I left my party in the corner and soloed them with one character with electricity resist and evasion.
