death's door
So to fix death's door it tells you to talk to a healer in the capital.. but the cleric selling all the scrolls doesn't have any options and neither does she sell greater restoration scrolls. Am I missing something or am i just screwed for now..

Also all projects/events seem to require my high priest.. which is annoying

Buying the greater restoration scroll from the cleric/healer in the capital and using it should work.

I am not understanding how this is supposed to work.
I had three people go down fighting Scythe-Tree from Con loss. Supposedly I can heal the Death's Door condition by sleeping in my capitol... but how exactly do I get these three people back there? They're still laying on the ground at the Witches Hut. Brought Restoration scrtolls with me and used them on the afflicted with a Cleric.. They are still laying there.

Are you sure those people are not already dead ?
(I never used death's door, but the way I understand it, someone with only the death's door debuff shouldn't be laying on the ground)

And now I can't find them even when their greyed out portraits are in my party. One of them has 16/2 HP, but I can't seem to do anything with him, or find him.

The 'tutorial' for saving party members is a tad lacking, I have to say.

Yeah, if they're down and their portraits are greyed-out, they're dead. Death's door gives them a bloody portrait, but they can still move around.

That said, you don't need their bodies to resurrect them, you can just click on their greyed-out portrait when using a Raise Dead or Resurrection Scroll.

Also, next time you fight Scythe Tree and similar creatures, use Delay Poison Communal, that prevents poison-based ability damage. (At least I think ability damage from Scythe Tree is poison-based. If it's negative energy based, use Death Ward).

I never got a bloody portrait. just grey, even when they were at death's door. No idea when any of them died.

So.. if they are dead, why do they have 17/2 or 21/1 HP?
Zombies?

Death by CON damage maybe bypasses death's door, since with CON of 0 you are finished. One might say chain-dying.
People lying around are dead. Death's door merely means you have caught enough damage to die once and a second time will finish you for good. The protrait of deth's door victims are blood spattered. That gets removed by sleeping in the capital, but may require you to leave the throne room.

And never ever fight monsters like the scythe tree, soul stealers or astra demons without appropriate protection. When you see one, step back and check what defense buffs you have. Or send in Jaethal :)

also, it lies. I can't use Raise Dead scrolls on party members in town regardless of if I can cast them or not, since I can't target the corpse.
So I have no idea how to get these people back except to reload the game.

You should be able to right click-use the scroll from inventory when corpse's portrait is selected. It doesn't let you do that?

Figured it out.
The sheer amount of important information the game simply does not give you is actually mind boggling.

in any area that is considered "safe", no. I had to go out to the closest adventure area and cast them there. Good thing it wasn't my clerics dead, because my main is a Paladin, and they can't seem to cast Raise Dead, even in town where the priest claims he'll cast them for you. He doesn't.
