Town Building: How to build a Monolith (for Sacred Grove)?
I want to build a Sacred Grove, but it needs a Monolith. So how? I can't see the option in the build menu.

And can you turn building's orientation while placing?

The Monolith is a Neutral specific building. If your alignment is not neutral, then you cannot build it.
My hero! Ooooh, I see that's why (I was lawful good). Thx for the help!

Wait, do i have to be True Neutral?? Why even put in the Sacred Grove, if you can't build it, if you are not Neutral. That makes it Neutral as well.

Theres a lost of buildings for each alignment that are like that. they are in the game to give that alginment some flavor.

That's not my point - Monolith is not in the list, because i can't build it...so why the hell is Sacred Grove???

Do you have to be true neutral or can any kind of neutral build one.

I agree, it should be neutral if you have to be neutral to build its prerequisite. I'm lawful good and it's just clogging up the build list.

I suspect any alignment that could be a druid works, i.e. any alignment with "neutral" in it, whether good/evil or law/chaos.

Is there a way to rotate 2x1 buildings?
Thrawcheld Oct 11, 2018 @ 6:02am
Not that I've found. That makes it much harder to fit in the buildings you want. I moved most of the buildings in my capital when it became a town so I could add a fort, library and printing house (and even then I ditched the monument).
... ooh thanks to explain the MONOLITH requirements , as I thought it is a local resource, which is already placed I always searched all maps , if one has a monolith ... it was terrible time consuming LOL ...

after my 8 province I thought it has been in the first map, where I didn't looked , glad it isn't ...
but maybe it is a local resource LOL

My barony is Neutral Good, and I haven't been able to build a Monolith at all.

I built a Monolith but it still won't let me build the Sacred Grove next to it . :( and no, i don't have a lumberyard.

Maybe you need to be true neutral to have both?
