Cave of Lamashtu working as intended
Hey, I'm wondering about a couple of things in the Cave of Lamashtu

1 - DC29 permanent web spells
- It is somewhat annoying to either have to reload a save or wait for Valerie and Harrim to roll a natural 20 to get out of webs. Are they supposed to be a permanent trap for partymembers like that? I wouldn't mind if they despawned but when I can go make a cup of coffee and have a smoke and the damn things are still there when I return something is wonky.

2 - Endlessly spawning waves of spiders
- Is the cave supposed to spawn encounters with 10-12 Primal Giant Spiders, 1-3 Matriarchs and a couple of swarms in previously cleared areas? Those encounters seem stupidly hard for a 9th level party, especially when they happen so frequently.

3 - Constant ability damage
- Look, the game is supposed to be challenging and I love most of the encounters. However, having to go rest to regain spells so I can get rid of the constant, debilitating ability damage from spiders is not really contributing towards anything except my inevitable heart attack trying to get through the caves. If Neutralize Poison took care of it everything would be better, but having to lug 40ish Potion of Restoration into the cave seems a bit excessive.

In closing, great game 95% of the time, some encounters might need a bit of tinkering to achieve their goals.

I was actually trying to look up the swarms specifically because they’re taking no damage from fireball or lightning bolt.

1. The webs are traps, try and find them before they go off, I don't ever recall those spiders webbing me with a spell

2. I don't know about a constant stream and respawning, but what you are talking about is a single encounter, it's likely supposed to be like that. Before going through the maze, save your game before each transition just incase.

3. The ability damage is fairly normal when fighting spiders, you should have a cleric who can remove the debuff from you, either Harrim, Tristan, or a custom made companion. If the spell requires resources to cast, I think it's only diamond dust which is fairly cheap if you aren't hoarding things and are selling just about everything you find that isn't an upgrade or something you want to use later in terms of weapons and armor. The storyteller also gives quite a bit of gold for all of those artifacts you keep on finding randomly, the dryad tokens, dog tags, etc.

Triggered Web trap is dispellable. Just dispell ground effect and you'll be fine.
