There's a bunch of helmets, but quite a few show up late-game. I forged the Dwarven Helmet from the relics. Harrim gets one after you complete his personal quest (or at least, he did in my playthrough). I found a winged-style helmet (think like the one Thor wears) as loot, though I don't quite remember where. You get another one if you complete a quest called "The Ravenous Queen" (which also gives you a great plate armor, bastard sword, heavy shield and cloak). The Top Hat LordBlade mentions you can get in the Bridge map of Gudrin River, after defeating the Crag Linnorm in the cave. I also found a sort of tribal skull mask that's great for Amiri.
And finally I found a sallet helm with a black plume (currently on Valerie) as loot late game as well. Don't worry, there's plenty of helms, you just have to power through, and explore everything. Make sure all your guys have Perception maxed out and someone in your party has Trickery maxed out as well (I used Linzi, with the gloves that give +5 Trickery and Skill Focus feats).
