[Devs] The item pricing shows how unfinished this game is!
This is the first RPG where the pricing of items has is so bad that I have to make a thread about it and I am impressed that I havent seen another thread about it so far.

Every♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥i*n*g masterwork item costs the exact same price. No matter if it is a long sword or a dagger. All bows and crossbows cost the same.
A ♥♥♥♥ing scale male costs way less than a mastery club! WTF!

In real life and in all other RPGs I know armors do cost way more than normal weapons.

This is so broken and clearly shows that the game is unfinished.

I am really unimpressed :(

Noticed that too, I agree, its shows how poorly the game is. This game still needs a lot of work.

We speak English btw.

Are you referring to MASTERWORK items?

Its called broken game ballance. A weaker weapon must be cheaper in general. Making all cost the same is just bad balance.

Here's the laughable part: Lesser bag of holding: 4000 gold -100 weight. Bag of Holding 25000 gold -200 weight. These items can be stacked so just load up on lessers for a fraction of the price!

Other games, different items cost different values, I haven't seen any game that has a lot of different items costing exaxtly the same price. a longsword should not cost the same as a dagger.

The main problem with the items is...
that its out of any reasonal range of item distribution of D&D. A +1 Weapon in a Shop in the middle of nowhere... is mainly... a near impossible thing. A full vendor with masterweapons in the middle of nowhere.. is a yoke. The Gamedev... don't read any kind of D&D gamemaster manual.

And yes i know that it is because you need the equipment... in the Game.
But as an D&D Game it is a clear joke. The distribution of masterworks and plus weapons in this game is out of control. I know how hard it was in Baldurs Gate to get a +2 Weapon... now you can buy it at the first store in your first "out of a bandit castle" town. Thats stupid!

And yes it shows that the devs not even think about there game... the raise the AC/Ress of monsters... and than distribute tons of masterworks and plus weapons. Where are the epic quest lines to get some of plus weapons. Why you cant help an old Warrio in the woods who give you his masterweopon. where are the boni of pladin to get his divine weapons from his god?

Where are everything about equipent quests? They don't think in this small scape... of a good DnD rollplay round... they miss the point of DnD.. it is not to have plus weapons.. it is the way to optain it.. you must do something more.. than.. run arround collect loot and sell it to an vendor with unlimited gold.

But there is so many more.. what the have forgot. Why you don't choose a god on start? Maybe because Gods are only importent for npcs? Why? Thats a main charakter stat... what god you follow and ateism is a real bad deal.

IN pathfinder tabletop, masterwork adds +300 to the cost of a weapon, +150 to the cost of an armor ...

so yeah a masterwork club (0 gp + 300 gp) would still be worth more than a scalemail (50 gp)...

Knowing that in the tabletop game, most weapons are 100 gp or less, masterwork is what makes the bigger price.

They could chang the values a bit, but nevertheless it wouldn't be that much idifferent

yeah, in BG 2, some of the best weapons were both hard to find, and near the end of the game, I remeber one bow, that shoots unlimited ammo, but you collect the pieces so it can be reforged. great weapon for a rogue.

but still PF has really bad balance, and the weapon prices are another example of that.

Lol it's called tiers of weapons. Why should one's path be harder than the next just because of the class they chose. Weapons are specialized. People can't handle the "punishing" (not my word) diff, and now you want to introduce different prices for the same weapon tier? Find something else to complain about.

OP makes comment about armors being less expensive than weapons.
OP totally ignores Full Plate.

thats not true at all. Hell for a kensai your best weapon for over half the game is from the first npc you talk to.

Complaining about the in-story rationale for having access to +2 weapons in your first kingdom town is a little strange since your very reason for existance is as a sponsored state of a larger and more successful kingdom. They want you to succeed and invest in your survival. The merchants might not be state actors storywise; that doesn't mean they weren't lured by an attractive new market.

IN icewinddale, you could get +2 weapons in starter town, if you could afford it, stop complaining dip, but as i remember you couldnt. Also, halfplate and fullplate cost more than any weapon.

And lastly, you cant buy +2 even if you wanted, unless you use cheats. in bg getting +1 weapons was easy, you just needed to sneak your way in, without any single fight.
