Tip for making thing easier.
In the difficulty option select Only active companion receive experience. Exp is a ton better which in turn make the game easier. I think there might be a bug related to it or something not intended which is causing balancing issues. By default the exp is shared among ALL companion even if you haven't even recruited them yet and don't plan to even use them, so its always divided by 12 instead of by 6 when you have full party.

Seriously? That would be a bummer.
hm, how does this affect custom companions, do you need to share on more then 12 then?
Tested it. You are correct. 9 XP with XP Sharing on, 54 (!) with XP Sharing off. That's huge. YUGE!
Hmm, definitely need to make sure you don't plan to use any other companions.
Ok, this needs to be changed.. with that option turned off, companions not in the party should have same XP as your main character. It should not work like that.

I hope devs change this fast.

Not really, companions have a minimum level. Even with this feature turned on, Tristan will join you at level 3, the ranger at level 5...

So youre not losing anything unless youre very overleved when you find them.
if you have recruited companions already and they are benched at Oleg's though they will get underleveled as the game progresses. no biggie if you don't want to use them, but if they get left too far behind they will be pretty useless if you bring them of the bench later. otherwise.. yea
I find all the timed quests way more difficult than the actual difficulty, which you can turn down. I never know which quests I'm supposed to be in a rush to do and with the problems on the kingdom table it all ends up feeling really stressful and not at all "play how you likeish". Seems I finished Act 2 too quickly, but if I delay Act 3 to get the other stuff done, the quest fails, and Valerie's quest fails and Yaeval's quest fails (not to mention the dwarf's quest failing cos apparently I missed something in the ruin I walked through 20 times xD), etc. Hence I've been doing nothing but reloading to try and get everything done in time.
what I want to know is, how did my fangberries spoli so fast inside a bag of holding?

Oh god, so you are saying there are more timed quest crap ahead? I'm already incredibly frustrated trying to finish the stag lord in time(cant find his fort and travelling/resting up takes up a lot of time). Maybe I should just put the game down now and save myself the frustration :)
