Hargulka, how in the hell?
He never stops attacking and hits me like a train. He takes out my 88 health 32 AC Valerie in mere seconds. How am I supposed to do this?

That seems like a low AC, are you missing buffs and a cleric standing behind her spamming heals non-stop?

that was my ac on lvl 6 aswell , had to go ahead and cast every buff spell i knew, chuck all potions in my inventory and then use acid scrolls/wands with every character i had to barely win that fight.

Def way tougher than everything ive encountered up to that point.

I put Barkskin and Mage armor on Valerie and I have a food buff upping her HP to 100 and I'm spamming her with heals and Hargulk just constantly wails on her with 30 damage attacks repeatedly, never missing. I've tried casting Blind on him but he resists it every single time.
32 isn't a low ac, pathfinder does have a few bosses on the tabletop that are just like that. Huge, accurate killers! Rng needs to be in your favour

Do your have any debuffs? Blindness, grease, stuff like that?

I had an AC 38 Val when she is spelled up, with heavy armor and shield focus (when fighting defensively, which doesn't display in the AC in the character sheet) and hasted Harulka hit me basically every round. I turned the difficulty down to story time to do this fight.

Even focusing on Tartuk, I couldn't take him down or stop him casting haste on Harulka or do ANYTHING that was remotely meaningful in any way and I was tired of RNGesus deciding I had blasphemed such that I deserved to be hit 100% of the time. The bonus Harulka has will hit everyone but Val no matter what, and hits Val most of the time in my experience and there's nothing you can do about it as far as I could tell.

From what I understand, depending on your choices, killing Hargulka alone will end the encounter. That said, even if you decided on all-out war, Targuk is still 1000% easier when he's solo. You definitely want to kill Hargulka first.

As far as tips for the fight goes: do your pre-fight DPS buffs, spam your DPS items with your weakest links, then pray to RNGesus; in my experience, this entire encounter is a DPS race.

I'm actually going to lose my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mind.

I finally killed Hargulka, and had my entire party surrounding Targuk.... FOR 15 MINUTES I SAT THERE MISSING ALL MY ATTACKS WHILE HE KILLED MY ENTIRE PARTY WITH MAGIC MISSLES.

I honestly don't know how to defend this game after that.

Oh you guys are also including all the other guys, I totally forgot it was only Hargulka solo as I was evil, thus he killed all the kobolds for me.
Not a trap something doesn't sound right. What is your party made of and what attacks where you doing? What difficulty are you on?

I was able to defeat him on Normal mode, but only because of buffing Valerie to the hilt for defence, include a Stoneskin scroll I had found that gave her DR10/-, getting Hasted herself and drinking a Blur potion. A Dispel from Harrim got rid of the Haste on Hargulka. DPS was also buffed.

Well what I did was.....
Stealth Octavia and my main go around back. Lure the troll away with Valerie. Let her die buying time.
With stealth kill the cobolt.
Run like there is no tomorrow stealth. Let the fight end and the troll return to his original position.
Wait until the bufs run out. Attack the troll alone.

Helps if you have a ressurect dead spell.
I did not.
Was playing on challenging monster normal damage.
That troll tears through your party while hasted.....

Had no problems whatsoever with the rest of the place, but in that fight i can't even scratch him properly. What thel hell is that ♥♥♥♥? And it's not like i got time to wander around and level up - due to the attacks my kingdom will get destroyed otherwise.

Ok, made it on the 4th attempt. Basically just gulped down every potion i saved up for "that very hard fight" (that usually never comes in most rpgs), fired all buff scrolls and kept summoning things to mitigate damage.

Still only had Valerie, Smilodon The Murder Engine & both ranged standing in the end.

it's not you, it's how the scaling here works (difficulty settings).
even if you were to scratch the highest possible AC on your tank (which i pretty much did) the troll will still hit everytime.
and the same goes the other way around: max tohit and still missing.
same goes for spells: negated, resist etc.
you can spam-summon and mitigate damage this way, which seems to be currently the only option apart from abusing the broken AI/pathfinding to beat the "highest" settings.

lowering the settings funny enough makes it horrible boring. well, game needs a month or two more polish on mechanics, which has been well established by now.

in general i realy liked the whole premise (and voicework) of the place, it's definitly well done especialy when it even takes your npc's quest in consideration...but the mechanics..oh lord.
So basically we should keep the game in Normal during normal fights and put it on Weak Enemies and Moderately weaker Enemies in the two difficulty settings in Story challenges?
