UNFAIR DIFFICULTY: Improved Inititive is your most important skill
Take a fighter level for all my characters at level 2, select improved initiative.

Not an instant win, but reload FAR less.

Apart from acting first being critially important, there is a special first round only effect that if you have initiative over your enemy, they recieve flat footed which means that they have no dex bonus and some other bonuses that they lose.

Having the first round of combat, with significant +hit is pretty much how you start winning with more regularity.

Been playing pathfinder for 7 years at least. Can confirm, Improved Initiative is a feat everyone should take if they can aford a feat. Most of the time everyone takes Reactionary trait which gives +2 to initiative, unfortunatly, they don't have traits here...

Winning Initiative is even more crucial at higher levels, at high level play, it's usually whoever cast the first spell, wins.

Thanks - Yeah such a shame about traits.
