if you right click on it, it says it is an over sized bastard sword. so i'd assume that as the weapon focus

pretty sure bastard sword but i reserve the right to be incorrect. taken from a giant...

Bastard Sword. But wielding it subtracts 2 from Amiri's attack bonus, so swap a +1 greatsword onto her when you get the chance.

I would go with Bastard Sword because that is the weapon itself.. it just has a special trait of being ginormous
Magus Sep 28, 2018 @ 3:52pm
It's a bastard sword. It is just a size class larger than the normal size.

As Magus has correctly said, its an oversized bastard sword which means it dose more damage but at the expense of attack. It is a bastard sword for the purpose of feats so take weapon focus in bastard sword not great-sword. You can find a really amazing acid longbow in the dawarven ruins to the south of your capital which is also oversized. I really recommend sticking a strength belt on Amiri to counteract the attack penalty and obviously do NOT run power attack on her.

I would advise against this. This bastard sword is easily the best weapon in the game. A greatsword deals 2d6 points of damage, this oversized bastard sword does 3d6 points of damage and even more when you enlarge her.

Uh, no it doesn't? It deals 2d6. Exactly the same as a greatsword. And I haven't found anything that upgrades it yet either, and all forms of magic items seem to be basically RNG with way to commission/craft/upgrade, soo... it'll become obsolete really quickly as a simple +1 weapon.

Myrryr, Randomz is talking about Amiri's bastard sword (Ginormous Sword) and it does 2d8 +1 damage so it has a damage range of 3 to 17. That's a lot more that 2d6. It's true that this is not 3d6 (3-18) but the 2d8+1 is nearly that. BTW, I am looking at the sword's stats right now, as I write this.

Might do 3d8 when you cast enlarge person on Amiri. It turns her from a Medium-sized creature to a Large and would turn her sword from one sized for a large creature to one sized for a Huge creature.

Basing this on the chart for how damage dice changes based on size (the Pathfinder SRD helpfully included it on the page for Enlarge Person) - so a weapon that deals 1d10 at one size will deal 2d8 at the next size up. And a weapon that deals 2d8 damage will step up to 3d8 when it goes up a size. So a Bastard Sword sized for a Huge creature (so Amiri's sword after she's hit with Enlarge Person) would deal 3d8 damage before factoring in magical enhancements and the wielder's strength bonus.
