How to get a treasurer?

No one I have can be a treasure. When do I get one?

Uhh, I think I saw a lets player recruit Oleg after claiming his lands for their kingdom. Probably have to run to his outpost. I should test this.

The Gnome Alchemist is also a treasurer, he is pretty easy to get (he is at one of the Fords that you will cross looking for trolls).

Ya, same here. Even after reading the above, I can't find anyone to use.

1) You can use a mercenary (a high Intelligence one would work best)
2) You can use the goblin alchemist companion (Jubilost)
3) You can use the red eyed kineticist companion (Kanera?)
4) You can use the mage who is doing research on a Troll (Bartholomew)
5( There may be more...

1) Jubilost (Gnome Alchemist) can be found at the Ford Across Skunk River(very near, west of your capital) area during the main questline Troll Trouble – but not before starting this main quest. If you don't meet him before completing the trolls in the Dwarven Ruins, you will not be able to acquire him at all.(Can also be "Ministrel" = espionage)

2) Bartholomew Delgado (mage that has troll in cage) only available after Troll Trouble if allowed experimenting on trolls and is of course alive. Location - Lone House.(Can also be Diplomat)

3) "Kaessi"(Kinecist) Tiefling companion need to finish her request. Only if you have DLC WIldcards. Is also romance interest. Location - Sorrowflow
4) Maegar Varn after 4th chapter, if he is alive, he will join automaticaly.

5) Any Mercenary, Economy needs high INT. Note all Mercenaries get -4 disadvantage.

Tip: Check Show Areas Name box in upper right corner.

Ya, I bought a mercenary out of desperation (50k ), and found out after all that there is a -4 to their abilities to govern. Luckily, I got his Int up to 20, so it's not too bad.

Do you have a save?

If you paid 50k, he must have been level 10. By level 10, you should have him at Int 26 at least. 18 Natural, +2 from race bonus, +2 from level ups, +4 from a circlet or something.

Although how you got to level 10 without getting Jubilost or Bartholomew, I am not sure.

Maybe some people run the quest by heading south through the Kamelands over the Guldrin Bridge and past the Hunting Lodge? That path isn't closed to you and you could easily miss Ekun, Jubilost and Bart going that way.

Oh, I am sure it is technically possible, but I find it strange, because I vaguely remember that all the hints pointed West. I may be mistaken, though, it's been a while.

I got Jubolist on my first playthrough. But have not seen even ONE of the above mentioned on my second playthrough. I kept waiting to come upon Jub, but never met him this time. ???

Have you visited A Ford Across the Skunk River this time around? That's where he is. You should find him in the river with his cart in that area. He's the first treasurer who can be recruited (unless you hurry off to the Sorrowflow to do the first Wildcards DLC quest right away in Chapter 2).

Yes, you appearently have to either be on or at a certain stage of the troll trouble quest for the ranger and alchemist to show in their spots. If youve started troll trouble try going back and see if they are there now.

I dont know if the game leads you back to those areas, if not then its highly probable you may miss those characters as youll never think of returning.

This game loves being annoying.

If you did not finish quest Troll Trouble(=fight Tartuk and Hargulka) you can meet both of them. Kestern gives you main quest to check locations that leads you to Ekun's location, the first living thing you see is a dog leading you to Ekun. Quest also leads you to Lone House, Bart's location.

If you did not help them, then after Troll Trouble Ekun and Bart are dead, Jubiolist gave up on his cart and went away hating the roads of your kingdom.
