Paladin or Hospitaler?
Ok, I just don't understand why I should take hospitaler over paladin. In rp, ok, but in game...
I mean, he doesn't have as many evil smiting and lose justice mark for a death immunity. So yes, death immunity is pretty cool, but is that his only advantage?

I dont see the point either, seems pretty weak compared to a standard pally, also seems some of the archetype haven't been well thought out.

A shame. In rp, I just love this kind of paladin.

Hospitaler has one thing that makes it my FAVORITE archtype in the entirety of pathfinder. they get channel energy without spending lay on hands, which is why they are in fact balanced.

Ah, ok. I didn't see it.
Yes, indeed, it's pretty useful. Thanks.
Now, hospitaler or inquisitor...

thanks for explaining, so would that be a better option for a main, if one goes hospitaler? or would it be better as a merc?
Hospitaler tbh does not bring much to the table vs vanilla paladin. Smite Evil is really useful and losing 3 uses just sucks xD

But this being a poorly balanced game i would not be surprised if you bump into high lvl clerics/mages spamming instant death spells on your party later on.. so there might be some value to the immunity/save+

IMO if you want more healing, just get a cleric with selective channeling + positive energy channeling. You can even convert cleric battle spells to heals directly via the spell menu (Spontaneous Casting rule), paladins cant do that.

For the video game tho? I would take hospitaler as main char (if i must use this class) as nothing sucks more than instant game over from a death spell.

See, hospitaler in tabletop is super good, cause with mercy’s, and certain feats, you just raise people from the dead with both lay on hands and channel, from range.

If you're not interested in the Cleric companions (or hiring cleric mercenary), hospitalet would be interesting.

If you're bringing a cleric, take a normal paladin (or Inquisitor)

going to stick with standard pally, and get a custom healer once the annoying bug is fixed.

Hospitaler got nerfed to ♥♥♥♥, since she gets Aura of Life instead of Aura of Healing like in the tabletop. https://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin/archetypes/paizo-paladin-archetypes/hospitaler
