How do you rest at Oleg's Trading Post?

I need to rest before the battle with the bandits. How?

It's probably obvious, I admit, and I am a poor bear of very little brain. However if I try to rest it says "You cannot rest here". If I try to get out to the countryside to camp I see no exit points. If I talk to Oleg or his wife there is no dialog option to ask them if I can rest. If I try to find a way into the trading post building itself there is no entrance.

So I am simply asking what gives here and how you actually do it.

Tell Oleg you're ready. Iirc you should rest automatically before the battle.

ya there will be a few story mission where you will auto rest before a fight

The exit points are there you have to walk up to the ends of the map outside the camp.
also you can still do the fight with no rest ,i drove the bandits away needing rest ,after the fight you get to sleep at the inn there anyway so try it ,but make sure you have the old man and the inkeeper join you in the fight first its much easier then.

Having this trouble too. I don't want to enter the fight exhausted and encumbered with all of the party members complaining... but rest is impossible here?

There is no "ready" option with Oleg. Only "wait for the attack," and "we'll talk later." R is blocked "cannot rest here." There is no way to enter the doors of the inn.

That is before you can rest there and go outside. But defence starts with whole party rested.
So you are rested after you choose "wait for the attack".

Have you "set up" for the attack? There are a few random things you can interact with to help with defending. Then after you do 1 or 2, you can then tell him your ready.

No, you cannot. But fight starts with you already rested.
