For example i could get 16 in one stat but only 10 in the other but if i reduced the 16 down to 15 i would be able to get 12 or 13 in the other.
it balances so you cannot go overkill in stats with too much of an advantage otherwise people would go 20+ each and every time
14 = +1 (still, not adding)
16 = +2
18 = +2 (still, not adding)
20 = +3
You don't get the correct bonuses.. like int 14 give you no extra skillpoint..
just try to increase from 10 - 20 in char creation and you see when you get the additional skillpoint
someone said they reduced the skill count down to 11 in this game therefore you dont need that many skillpoints to max out (only 11 per L-Up).
i noticed further humans dont get their +1 every level but every (2nd-)3rd i think.
most of the time my rogue has 8 points to spend.. but sometimes on L-up 9 (not always but sometimes)
Why Human best choise for mage? Azimars have the same bonus, +2int +2char +2magelore +2religionlore +1strongAOEfire +2saveblind +2savedisorient +5saves to acid,frost,lightning(not working yet), have MAX stat in game summary and best choice to pure MAGE 12 15 15 20 7 9
Its preference.
In this game the skills are more important than in the P&P game.. (you cant wiggle your way out with an other skill like in P&P)
Thats why human poor. Just split skills in party. And take another bonuses to main character.
