Armags Tomb - High DC's or just bugged? [Spoilers]
I want to say I've been blessed that I haven't had anything gamebreaking as far as bugs. Having arrived to the tomb's second floor with the "Path of Pain" and gauntlet of lightning bolts, burning hands and fireballs. I have no idea what to do next. The two urns/pedastles with interactables in the trap area hasn't revealed much to me either.

At the end of the corridor with the traps, there is an urn you can interact with(your right side), do it, then go left to the wall on the other side, it's a hidden door that will open up.

It's bugged out, the hidden not opening regularly when interacting with urn

The secret door isn't necessary, or I should say there is one that isn't.

Not sure if this guide will help ya.

I was a bit lost in that place, too.

Resist Energy / Haste or equiv. should get you through it if nothing else.

Edit: I'll see if I have a screenshot where to go, but I have so many it's probably buried.

You need to trigger the urns(?) and quickly dash to the secret door that opens nearby. It only stays open for a couple of seconds.

Far easier to do if you split the party. From what I remember, you can open it permanently once you get one character through.

Yep. That's right -- I ran Nok Nok through and he didn't get singed even - and what I ended up doing. I want to say it's North-Northeast?
I didn't have a Screenshot like I thought.

Same, with improved evasion and his high dex I just ran unbuffed Nok Nok around until I found everything and disabled the traps. Little bugger was amazing.

You can miss out so friggin' much, if your perception is low and even if it's just 'stuff', which nets you some amazing amounts o' gold. Learned by mistakes :>
CUrrent reboot (am so glad, I've 3 months of idle time...that game is quite huge & fun!) - with companions *yay* and gave Octavia right away skill focus trickery & perception..such a huge difference. I know, there are gloves..but there are later on just better gloves ^^

Even compared to my other run with an Inquisitor, who gets bonus perception + 1/2 level .. but that wasn't nearly enough for Armag's, had to turn on on several occasion Linzis competence.

Yeah, or Nok-Nok .. awesome char

Perception checks varies - the higher ones - in between 35 and I think 42...

Perception is Wisdom-based though. To get the best numbers it needs to be on Cleric/Monk etc. at least until mid-game or so. 40 is missable for many characters at Armag tomb level. I even went back with Linzi but she doesn't have Greater Heroism yet etc. (maybe Octavia does, I don't run with her usually) so ...next time I'll do it right. But I couldn't hit 35 with Nok Nok or Ekun (who has some Wisdom).

btw thx to you @aubrey .. some of your hints/tips for kingdom management help a lot :)
I usually have good hope (extended running)

anyway..with a proper played (not overdone min/max stuff) Inquisitor I had by the time entering:
28 perception (13 ranks | 6 Wis | 3 class | 6 morale (stern gaze)
While the goggles give me 5 competence, it offsets the crown ... linzi added +4 competence then...so 32 with common buffs.
The only sacred buff I'm aware off concerned saving throws and only with a paladin on board (that class outright breaks so many encounter with the lvl 11 point-your-finger-and-die-stuff)

even with the added linzi-buff (32) I failed some doors & some are bugged and you have to stay right in front to get the check done. you'll notice these doors, cause your pet can just enter the room...
That includes some postings..cause to discover the tomb..you either beat a 35 DC check...do the high DC bridge event or the 2 projects...

edit: there is some short-buff stuff available too.prayer works, can't remember all those buffs

Thank ye. :)

I forget about Jaethal as like the clerics I hadn't needed or wanted them -- being a cleric -- and use Reg for my off-dps caster. I did switch her over to Perception though in hopes to nab some stuff late game if she's still around.

On the tomb I had to buff to 24 DC even with the Project, though I know that thing can be wonky. I didn't realize you wouldn't die with the boatman and I was too cheap to pay him.

Edit: There is also a cantrip for 1 point. I tend to always forget it. Guidance.

Currently, I'll try with companions but the gnome...I can't stand him..point. He is replaced by a globadier - do I have to say more, that I need to replace an annoying ingame NPC with an exact copy of a merc?

Gave Octavia right away focus in trickery & perception = huge payoff, I usually take only 2 focus schools + focus spell + fortitude saves for casters | I so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ don't care, that my character do 2-3 points lesser damage (according some comments, it does seem to be important...ah: it's the male-mating ritual: cause bigger is better!)

[noticed: fortitude saves are a very big payoff ^^]

Jubilost is the Best, seriously, with a far more evolved dialog. You just have to make it long enough to not strangle him. But he can be really funny and is a superb advisor, in my opinion.

In this game I've given a couple Fortitude. I think it's worth it on some especially since the most useful Metamagic can be had with the wands and I too don't see a need for late spells on Arcane. Not least being the fact that we don't level to 20. :D

See and thankfully, something positive was obviously done - we love/like different character.
I made a master-MASTER-save just for the goblin-song event...I was a 'lil bit off..and it took me 30 minutes to read thru it..and the music/song..just awesome.

But nok's quest feels off..it just ends? (sry spoiler...there is a supposed thing, where you should align gobs/kobs+mites...I tried that in every game..but you have to be neutral I guess...I want them all to hail Plankton or whatever)
